Selectors

The supported selectors’ scheme goes as follows:

  • Plain selectors
  • Nested selectors
  • Parent selectors (just like Sass)

Exactly as on Sass there can be nested selectors and parent selectors access via the “&” selector. The parent - child selectors inheritance is achieved via the Groups. More specifically:

A Group might or might not have a selector on its properties.

If it doesn’t have a selector it acts as “transparent Group”, meaning it doesn’t affect its Incidents’ selectors at all.

If it does have a selector then this selector acts exactly as it acts on SCSS.

By case & example:

  • A Group takes no selector and an Incident with selector ".box" gets added to it. The final Incident’s selector will be ".box"
  • A Group takes as selector ".class-name" and an Incident with selector ".box" gets added to it. The Incident’s final selector will be ".class-name .box"
  • A Group takes as selector ".class-name" and an Incident with selector "&.box" gets added to it. The Incident’s final selector will be ".class-name.box"
  • A Group takes as selector ".class-name". A second Group with selector ".class-name-2" gets added to it and an Incident with no selector also gets added to it. The Incident’s final selector will be: ".class-name .class-name-2"
  • A Group takes as selector ".class-name" and an Incident with selector "&.box" gets added to it. The Incident’s final selector will be ".class-name.box".
